What ReSkin does
Every visual, wired
Each visual's colours are bound to a small theme table, including the settings the format pane has no fx button for. That's what enables multiple designs on one report.
Designed for you
We do the wiring and the design work, so developers can focus on the semantic modelling while report consumers can set their own preferred design.
Your data, your access
ReSkin has no code to run a query on your data. To check its work it opens the report the way a viewer does, measures the colours and discards the pictures; what it keeps is the report's design, so it can be put back.
Honest limits
- PBIR reports only, the new report format. An older report needs a Save As first.
- The switcher is Power BI's own slicer, not a custom visual.
- ReSkin edits the report definition, and keeps a copy so the report can be restored exactly.
